The lukwata is a semiaquatic animal described in the vicinity of Lake Victoria in Africa.
Appearance[]
There are a few conflicting descriptions of the lukwata, but it is often described with a long neck and a small head.[1]
Behavior[]
The lukwata has a booming roar which can be heard . Its only natural enemy is the crocodile, which it is sometimes seen fighting. During these fights, it often loses bone fragments which are prized as charms.[1]
It is known to appear suddenly and attack fishing boats, and in one account tried to seize a man off the bow of a steam tug, nearly capsizing the vessel.[2]
